The Tour Begins
After what seems like an age but was in fact two years, James and I at last found ourselves in a rural touring venue ready to perform our new show 6 Impossible Things. The first venue at Bowness on Solway was exactly as we had imagined, the space was perfect, the welcome we received from Bill warm and friendly and the audience a mix ages. First performances are always a nervous time but thanks to a generous audience and some inspired improvisation mainly from James we made it through and were generally happy with the show. Next Brigham and another delightful hall with friendly and enthusiastic staff. A special mention to Anne who served us a lovely chilli with accompanying nachos and rice. The show goes better and we feel more relaxed, finally on to Drigg and Carelton Parish Hall where John kindly lets us in early so we can tweak some of the lighting cues. The show is technically the best so far and so back to base to make some more edits before we go to Cheshire next week. Thanks to all the venue staff who made us so welcome.
